Well duh. Makes you wonder what she thinks the NRA is there for. News Flash for dingdong Diane. The NRA is there to represent the American people that aren’t interested in your nitwit San Fransisco left wing liberal crapola. And, suprise, suprise there are enough to put a stop to it.

Last poll indicates 68% of the public wants gun control. Dingdong Diane has the support of emergency room doctors and clinicians, a couple of army generals, teachers, and a majority of police officers. They dingdongs too?

They are not talking about the broad area of gun control. They are talking about feinstien’s absurd assault weapons bill.

    What “last poll” catpaw?

Last poll I saw on CNN.
The contention seems to be what is an “assault weapon.” The aim seems to be toward the attachments that make them so (for example, extended drums or magazines).
Another, two of the police chiefs (or commissioners) meeting with the president today say that only 2% of arrests involving weapons were related to assault weapons. The big problem of gun violence is handguns that can be concealed. They did “respect” the efforts of Feinstein and feel assault weapons should not be on the streets.
The NRA’s oblivious attitude for public concern of safety makes me wonder if the organization has been hijacked by gun manufacturers and used as a lobby.

catpaw, I last poll I found on CNN shows 69% of the people surveyed favor gun REGISTRATION. You must not have read it closely.

The NRA represents gun and ammo manufacturers, not its customers. The NRA is a lobbying organization of industry, not consumers. The NRA started out with a belief in gun safety and improving marksmanship, a sort of an adult Boy Scouts. Now…it is what it is, and it’s been highjacked by arms manufacturers who prey on the worst emotions of their customers.

Barack Obama and the Democrats have done more in the last 2 months for gun and ammo manufacturers than the NRA could ever do. It’s almost impossible to find even .22lr ammo in Bakersfield and gun shops across the country have pictures of obama hanging on the wall with the caption, “Salesman of the Year”.

The NRA represents all gun groups including rank and file law enforcement. Nobody hijacked anything.
