I feel much different now ….

Guys like this are the reason I and every other innocent citizen need a modern sporting rifle and a 30 round magazine.

Dril-a 30 round magazine shouldn’t be necessary if you are a good enough shot to sink one round right between the eyes. If you need 30 rounds to kill one person, you’re a pretty lousy aim! That, or one shot and off to face his maker just ‘isn’t dead enough’.

Mike-while I don’t own one anymore (BY CHOICE), in my 20′s I owned a Glock 17. I don’t remember too much about it. I remember the classes I took (2nd Amendment Sports if I remember correctly) tought you that if you were ever, God Forbid, in a situation where you had to brandish your firearm, you best be prepared to fire it. NO ONE needs a 30 round mags to defend themselves or hunt! Period! The notion is just ridiculous!

think, do you think it’s reasonable for a person to carry a 20 round magazine to defend themselves?

JT-My Glock had 17 rounds-staggered with an option for 19 which should provide AMPLE defense for a SOBER human being.

I finished Powers Security training awhile back and we were taught, shoot mass ist with 2 rounds, then 2 to the groin and then all you need to the head. But never the head ist. You are taught how to emtry your Mag on the ground and re load a new one just in case.
The whole point fire until the threat is over. Nobody wants to kill another but if you are in danger then draw and protect your family, friends and your self.

I don’t think you’re an idiot, but that situation is a no-brainer.

This goes with the “prepare for the worst, hope for the best” mentality.

If you have never been in a situation where a magazine that is capable of holding more than 20 rounds comes in handy, Then I venture to say that you have never shot off of a range, done any hunting or even attempted to just destroy a target, because you could, to assess the amount of damage you are capable of.

I’ll chalk it up to a lack of experience from your end, and now understand your position.

That,there is the problem. We live in a free society, and you are trying to tell me what I can and cannot have for an inanimate object, that you personally have never experienced, or have had the need to use. All because less than .0001% of our population used said objects for evil purposes.

You are being reactive, which we know ISN’T the best policy decisions for anything. We must act in a preventative capacity, at the root of the problem.

Tell me Think…when all the guns are taken from us, and we have no way to defend ourselves, save for rocks and sticks, will there still be evil people in the world, killing people in society?

The issue you have to focus on is mental health, the real PEOPLE issue, not guns. I’m quite sure you will agree with me that when our Govt can heap a pile of blame on a non-living entity, instead of polarizing a block of their voting base, 10 times out of 10, they will do it.

If you ever want to experience the ability to use a hi cap mag. Locate a range in Las Vegas the next time you are out that way. You need to experience it, before you rail against it.
