CNN says that effective today the FCC ruling takes effect and no more loud commercials with the volume turned up. One talking head complained that there are more pressing problems to solve and this one seems frivilous. I have my criticism: What took so long?
Thanks Cat, for posting something positive after all the negative stuff the right. So I will no longer have to mute the TV when the MOR commercial comes on.
I’ll see if I notice the change on Food Network. They really differentiate between the program and the commercials.
Maybe they think that simulating a drunk, yelling husband will sell more products.
Off topic but since you mentioned Food Network: HLN says a scientific study in Montreal could show that fatty and junk foods could alter your brain. Rats fed a fatty diet showed anxiety and symptoms of withdrawal when taken off. Rats feed a sensible diet were more active and alert. So, if you don’t want depressed and lazy rats…..
