Discussion on news and events in Bakersfield and Kern County.
Drafted out of high school, Robert Swift made an estimated $20 million playing professional basketball. But he’s lost his home to foreclosure and refuses to leave. How many times will we see the story of the professional athlete who cannot manage his or her money?
Just as many times as we hear of an actor, or musician, or a sanitation engineer for that matter who cannot manage their money.
Sad story. The kid had everything but brains.
I read somewhere that the NFL has their rookies suddenly getting 6 and 7 digit paychecks spend a day in a seminar-lecure on handling that kind of money and pitfalls of groupies, reporters, public behavior, etc.
Once he gets his sorry ass kicked out, he could move to Colorado or some ACORN stronghold and receive all kinds of Obama freebies, which would allow him to continue getting stoned and more tattoos in the name of an ever-trashy culture that follows Satan down the path that is wide and easy but leads to their destruction.
Pax, you are a sad and sorry excuse for a man.
pax, you need to get out and get some fresh air. Maybe you can go hand out flyers with those nut cases the Palmquists soon.
