Please visit the website and watch this clip from KGET:

Anyone who has lived or worked in Westchester/downtown in the last 20 years will recognize David. Impaired, yes, but happy as a clam in his motorized wheelchair with an attached boombox blasting his favorite tunes. Always one to smile and say hi, he was a delight to encounter on a daily basis. I remember his then young son riding on his lap for a neighborhood jaunt. My, how Zach has grown!

I am so excited to see David embark on this endeavor. Please support him in any way you possibly can; he is an amazing man who has overcome obstacles most of us could never imagine.

    Good luck, David and Zach!

Having been there and lived on that $800 a month….the drastic cuts to disabled people/families is heartbreaking. The lucky ones will have a support system in place, the rest will fall through the cracks ~ ending up hospitalized and or institutionalized. It makes no financial sense ~not to mention the human cost ,the resulting isolation leaves us less… what a great smile/spirit they both have!! Very cool chair with wheels!
