    I had another piece written but found this bit of news startling. We think these mass shooters to be insane, psychopaths or schizophrenic.
    Dave Cullen researched his book “Columbine” for some 10 years , he cites a Secret Service report (released in May of 2002) on school shooters ~ 61% had deep pervading sense of depression. That may shed some light on the methodical planning that these shooters exhibit.
    We want these crimes to be quickly “understood” , to make some sort of sense out of senselessness Those rush judgements stay in the public conscious while we miss important clues. That is as dangerous ~ just as dangerous as feelings of helplessness ans hopelessness.

    As I learn about Adam Lanza’s profile, nothing surprises me; all the pieces fit. I knew a boy like that in high school. It’s to his credit that he didn’t reach that point.

    The for-profit media take a paradigm, a popular legend and an article of faith or two, add some mortar and paste, and sell the whole thing right back to the public. All while the real explanations get increasingly lost.

    Oh you are right AD. The government run schools are much too busy teaching everyone how to put a condom on a banana, that abortion is a choice, and it is ok if mommy is married to Sally. They can’t be burdened with the basic laws of man…..

    Not sure how supporting a candidate who supports partially pulling a baby out of the womb and killing it furthers your goal of reducing abortions. But keep on keeping on.

    JohnTaylor ~ there could be several answers to that question. There may be multiple variations of #28″….do you read the last page first in a novel ? :-)
    Patience and in time all will be revealed.
    The point is to remember each victim on one day ~ not jump to what I may say you already think you disagree with. After all these are only my thoughts ~ not iron clad “truths”.
    Tomorrows post is likely to be short ~ too many emotions, to close to the surface.

    AD … the story is shouted from the roof tops ~ and after a investigation,a trail ~ we get at a version of truth. That always seems to be a very small article on the back page ( sorry TBC ,just an analogy)…..our hunger for the next thing we can all spout our opinion about and not really Care about seems boundless.
    The layers to this are many and some are uncomfortable for us to think about, perhaps that is why we rpeat the same tragedy.

    Thank you John ~ that is not what I have in mind and I knew what your concerns probably were.
    I can mourn for life that starts to fresh and clean, that ends up so ugly and twisted. Not the person that was…but the person they could have been.
    The victims for #28 I have in mind are a bit more nebulous but critical to Human behavior. The Nice kind of behavior.
